Grady started Jr Jays Wrestling about a month ago having practice after school then wrestling meets on the weekends. There are meets offered every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the months of February and March. Grady wrestled his last meet for this year this past Saturday. At his age level everyone gets a participation medal at each meet but next year in 1st grade they begin keeping track of points and medals are given according to how the wrestler placed. Grady is liking this sport so far!
Our Tough Wrestler
Mean face....Grrr!!
Shooting for his legs which is the first lesson taught in wrestling
Before they begin wrestling they must shake hands :)
I didn't think I'd get into it as much as I have but at this point
I know I was yelling 'Get him Grady, Get him' at the top of my lungs
This daddy couldn't be more proud to have two boys follow
his foot steps in wrestling
SO Proud with each medal he gets!!!
Another quick move to be on top for the pin
At the end of each match both boys arms are raised
declaring them both as winners :)
Grady's face got scratched and poked a lot this year
Another medal, another happy boy after his matches
Of course he got to stand on the winner's podium
Stretching before his matches, this is called a bridge he
told me to make note of that for all of you to know!
This is one of Grady's buddy's Caden
These two really like wrestling one another, every chance they get
Practicing before their matches began!
Good Job Grady! We are so proud of you and the awesome
little wrestler you are!
Omgosh, why does he look 16?! This is definitely his sport with all of the wrestling he does with his daddy. :) Love his skinny little butt in that singlet. Way to go, Grady!!
