Heat Wave

We are officially in a Tropical Heat Wave but what I want to know is where is the 'Tropical' part of that?? Sure would like my fruity drink with an umbrella and someone willing to rub my feet!! Ok, seriously here are the cutest little men in my yard enjoying our pool! Summer time fun for sure!

Dentist Visit

Grady wanted me to take a picture of his newly cleaned teeth!
No cavities, perect teeth at age 4!!
Grady told the lady that cleaning his teeth was easy and that he was brave
as he stretched back to relax...an old pro he must think ;) He got the cool shades to help with the 'bright light'

Boys on the Farm

We were in charge of doing Greg and Cyndy's chores while they were on a trip to Alaska. The boys loved feeding the horses and gathering the eggs from the chickens! They even got brave and sat on the horses while they ate.

Ten Year Class Reunion

I had my 10 year class reunion this past Saturday night. 14 out of 34 of us came to catch up on old times. We heard every excuse under the sun as to why some couldn't, wouldn't or didn't show up. It's too bad really because those of us there had a GREAT time together and even flowed in to the after hours party! So fun seeing old friends and making a few new ones through some pretty cool spouses. Thanks Class for a wonderful evening out!

Swimming Lessons

Grady started swimming lessons a few weeks ago and is a Rock Star!! He passed his group lessons last summer and is flying through individual lessons this summer. She has taught him to...

Stand on her legs and jump up real high like a 'rocket' then
come up out of the water and regain his standing position on his own
Jump in the 3 foot and swim back to the
edge all by himself! He's Awesome at doing this!!To back float without a buoy

And to kick like a frog and make 'scoops' with his
hands to be a better swimmer!

His favorite thing thus far is being able to jump in the pool and get back to the edge without anyone's help. He can walk across the pool as well only in the 3 foot of course but he 'bobs' and does a great job keeping his head above water. He's doing great and gets lots of practice with his strokes and kicking while we are at the lake. He can't wait to stop the boat to jump in and SWIM!!

For my cousins...I took the boy's to Uncle Tom's the other day and Grady can fully move around the 3 ft area and ya know, I remember the 'deep' end being SOdeep as we were growing up when all the boys were trying to drown me. But I was touching with my head above water...6 ft pha! No Way! :) Good Times had by all!!

Black Eye

While I was away paying for the campsite Bryce tripped and hit
his cheek bone/eye area on the picnic table. He was not a
happy camper when I returned, litterally!!
This is a pic two days later as the swelling kicked in

And again but a better shot at the swelling. The next day
it was almost swolen shut but he never acted like it hurt.
He's one tough little boy and so very strong!

Camping on the 4th

We went camping with some friends at Sherman Lake over the weekend of the 4th. Such a great time together and a busy lake found us at the camp site more than in the water!! We all had a blast minus the rain Saturday night...
